We got married at the Hazlehurst House in Nov 2020 and could not be happier with our experience! The food, flowers, DJ, cake, decor, and all of the little details were perfect, but the best part of working with the Hazlehurst House was the peace of mind that came with knowing they were taking care of everything! Everything being under one roof and the amazing staff made wedding planning so much easier leading up to the wedding day. I knew Leslie, Sydney, and everyone else at the venue had everything under control day of, from making sure me and my husband didn't see each other before the ceremony to packing up our cars at the end of the night! All of the staff made our day perfect and I highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a romantic and memorable event!

My husband and I got married at the Hazlehurst House last month and we couldn’t recommend it more! From the moment we stepped foot on their property, we felt welcomed and knew it was OUR venue. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating and worked around a myriad of schedules and circumstances to ensure I felt taken care of. In the current age of COVID-19, planning a wedding is pretty stressful; however, Leslie and the whole Hazlehurst team made sure we felt safe and heard when expressing any concerns! If you’re looking for a picturesque wedding venue without sacrificing service, I HIGHLY recommend the Hazlehurst House; you won’t be disappointed!

Our experience with Hazelhurst House was fantastic. Leslie and her team were a pleasure to work with. They worked hard to make all of our ideas a reality. We were an out of state couple getting married in Atlanta, so we really appreciated that any time we were in the same area they made a real effort to meet with us and figure out exactly what we wanted. They gave us an amazing amount of access to the venue to set it up just how we wanted it. I can't emphasize enough how nice it was that were so willing to make sure that we had access to the venue anytime that we needed it. The DJ that they recommended was amazing, meeting with us before the wedding to make sure that we were on the same page and great during the wedding as well. We received endless compliments on the cake, it was by far the best wedding cake either of us have ever had. All of the workers her were there for the wedding were super kind and helpful. Parking was plentiful and well run, no parking difficulties like at so many other Atlanta venues that we researched. Choosing Hazelhurst House as our venue was a great choice, working with professionals who really cared about our wedding made everything so much easier. Many of our guests commented about how beautiful the venue was and how they could tell just how much work went into making the wedding so amazing. The venue was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and our wedding was so much less stressful than I imagined it would be thanks to the team at Hazelhurst House.

We cannot rave over how great Hazlehurst House was for our wedding in August. It was perfect! The staff was awesome. even when I ( Tamara) had my mini breakdowns they made sure to make me feel at ease. I would recommend them to everyone! Even the DJ was great! Our family and friends still talk about how great the staff, venue, food and music was. Thank you guys so much for everything! It was a perfect summer night!

Wow. This is one word to describe this lovely and historic gem located in the heart of McDonough, Georgia. From the moment my (now) husband and I walked through the doors we knew this was the place for us. We could feel the love in the air and from the staff throughout as we planned our wedding. The concept we probably loved most about them was they wanted to do all the “busy work” for us and they wanted us to just relax and enjoy the biggest day of our lives. And that, they did. From the delicious food catered by their very own in house Tasteful Events catering, to an unforgettable cake selection, beautiful flowers, and classy reception decorations they really outdid themselves. It was all so beautiful as the venue itself is and I would definitely recommend checking them out. You will fall in love getting #hitchedathazlehurst ❤️

Ashley and her group were so easy to work with. They were there every step of the way. Their advice on many things assisted us in making wise decisions and helped to make the day beautiful. The venue was open to us bringing in additional decorations, our own DJ and photobooth. On the day of the reception the staff was very helpful and very efficient as well as friendly to all the guests. When you plan you have no idea how it will turnout but Ashley kept assuring us it would be wonderful and she was right. Everything was as planned and went off without a hitch. We did stations for food and I think a plated dinner may of been better for our guests because they wouldn't of had so many little plates but that was our choice- food was very good! thanks to the whole team for assisting us in making this a memorable event for all involved.

We recently had our reception at the Hazlehurst house. It was beautiful and everything my husband and I dreamed of. The staff was wonderful in helping our family when need be. The food was done by Hazlehurst and it was amazing. Multiple family members at the wedding and post wedding were discussing how great it was. The facility's as very clean and made appropriate for our wedding. The wedding coordinator was AMAZING! She took the time to learn us as couple which helped when making decisions, along with great responsiveness when questions arised. She was able to provide us with referrals for bridal and groom activities not pertaining to the reception. We did not use this due to personal friends and family volunteers but they offer the whole wedding package (flowers, cake, food, decor, photographer and much more) when booking your reservation. Whether you have everything in order or just starting to look, I highly recommend the Hazelhurst House for a venue.

Although we currently live in Orlando, FL, after searching around the Atlanta area, we fell in love with Hazlehurst House immediately. Leslie made us feel like family and was so completely organized I feel like I barely had to do a thing. And when I needed to complete somthing, she kept me in line, which I LOVED! Planning a wedding from 400 miles away should normally be very stressful, however I never ONCE felt like anything had been overlooked during the planning process and leading up to our big day. Leslie was able to keep the whole family and crazy friends in line for both the rehearsal and wedding, which made the day just full of fun for myself and new husband. Hannah our assistant was amazing! I guess I didnt really fully understand what an assistant would do for me that my bridesmaids couldnt, but I just dont think the day would have been the same without her. Overall, I wish I could do it all again because it was the most special day of my life.

I can't put into words how special the HH house made our day! My husband and I were college students trying to plan a wedding and graduate all within two months of each other. Leslie was amazing and when I got super stressed about school, I didn't have to worry about my wedding because they handled everything. It was worth every penny and even more. I highly recommend them to anyone having a wedding whether indoor/outdoor, formal/non-formal, traditional/modern. The HazleHurst House is the place to go for any event that you want to be extra special!

As the parents of the bride, we were very impressed with the professionalism of the Hazlehurst House staff and event planner. Every one worked with our daughter and her fiance to insure that the wedding day was delightful. The grounds and inside were spectacular. The food was exceptional and the staff was available and helpful at all times. Our daughter could not have been happier on her special day. Thanks Leslie and the all the Hazlehurst staff. Our photographer was also very professional and super patient with all our guests. Scott Evans took our daughter and new son-in-law around the town in McDonough for superior pictures that day.

Fantastic. We had a vision and met with Leslie about it. Within about 4-5 meeting everything was done. On our wedding day every expectation was met and exceeded. The staff was always friendly and made sure everything went off without a hitch. My favorite part was the food. Wow, was it awsome! I had a chicken/bacon wrap thing and beef kabob that blew my mind. My wife loved everything...oh wait, she liked the pimentos & cheese. The wedding cakes were actually good too. Not that like the kind you usually taste that are good to look at but taste like cardboard. These had look, taste, and texture that you want in a cake. And let me tell you this. An outdoor wedding in late March was the best thing we could have done. It was beautiful there and the flowers were perfect. The option of an indoor/outdoor reception as well just helped continue the feel of summer coming and elevate people's mood for the event that much more. A++++++++++

I could not ask for a better place to have shared the BEST day of my life with than the Hazelhurst House! Everyone was so helpful, and it made for a very easy, fun, wedding! The staff was top notch and did absolutely everything they could to help us out before and after the wedding! Everything was VERY organized, and I never once worried about anything during the wedding planning process or the wedding day! Thank you so much Hazelhurst House!!

The Hazelhurst House staff couldn't have been better or more helpful in the planning and execution of our wedding. I felt that Lesley understood how to get the most for our money and still put on a beautiful event. I had no worries especially on the day of the event. She had everything organized and planned out to the minute and I actually enjoyed the wedding myself. I would certainly highly recommend this venue for any upcoming event.

We can not say enough wonderful things about Hazlehurst - their hard work made our wedding completely stress free. Everything was beautiful and the staff is helpful. The facility is beautiful and the packages provide a great value. The location is convenient to downtown and the airport and there are many amenities close by. If you're trying to find a perfect wedding location, please check them out!

I must say that choosing The Hazlehurst House for our wedding was the best decision my husband and I made. We had a tough time during our wedding planning process because my grandmother became very ill. Due to her sickness, my mother was unable to help with much planning, so we turned to The Hazlehurst House. They went above and beyond to make our day special and unique for us. My grandmother ended up passing away a week before the wedding and without The Hazlehurst House staff, my wedding day would have been a wreck. From my wedding planner to the DJ to the food everything was wonderful and perfect on my wedding day. I keep getting comments about our wedding and the wonderful food and staff. I highly recommend The Hazlehurst House for weddings or corporate events. They will make your day special and stress free.

We could not be more pleased with our experience at Hazelhurst House. The entire event was well planned from start to finish. Over the year prior to the wedding Leslie and the staff at HazelHurst househelped us plan every detail from the floral arrangements to the bridal limousine and everything in between. On the day of the wedding, the staff attended our every request and made our guests feel special. For example, it rained and the ceremony had to be held inside, the staff turned the ballroom into a chapel like setting with candelabras. We received many compliments from our guests about the quality of the food,the ambiance as well as the floral arrangements. The DJ rocked the house for the old and young. The photographer stayed with us the entire event and accommodated all of our photo requests. I do not know any way to have improved our experience. Great job all the way around! we had a ball.!!!!!!

The Hazlehurst House was the perfect setting for my “Southern” dream wedding and the staff did not disappoint. I knew I loved the HH House and after my initial meeting with Leslie Bishop, I knew I made the right choice. Leslie was great and worked with me throughout the entire process even responding to emails and phone calls promptly even when I was sending them after 10PM! At one of my meetings, I changed the entire feel of the wedding including menu and décor and they accommodated each and every idea to make sure I was more than satisfied. Felicia Watts worked with me countless hours to make sure that I had the most gorgeous flowers and that I got the look I truly wanted. The entire crew at the HH House was absolutely amazing. They were a pleasure to work with and made each and every day of my engagement fun and stress free! Thank you HH House for the perfect fairy tale day! You are amazing!

My experience with the Hazlehurst House was amazing. I was planning my wedding in a short period of time (5 months) and had no time off from work. I chose the Hazlehurst House because they literally do everything and I wanted an outdoor evening wedding in May with a sit down dinner. Everything was so beautiful and perfect and when I tell you it was stress free, I mean it. The package I had included the food, alcohol, a flower allowance, DJ, violinist for ceremony, wedding cake, and my wedding planner. They also ordered my invitations and booked my photographer and videographer, which were all tremendous. I highly recommend the Hazlehurst House if you do not want to deal with the stress and you want everything to go smoothly. The property is breath taking and my wedding planner, Leslie and the owner, Felicia were on top of everything. They listened to what I wanted and my wedding day was perfect.

The Hazlehurst House is THE place to get married! Not only are the house and grounds beautiful, but the staff is phenominal. I have always wanted to get married at an historical home, but not being from GA orginally, I didn't know where to start. A friend told me about the Hazlehurst and the first time I saw it I fell in love. From day 1, Leslie and the rest of the staff did what they could to make our day amazing. Anything we needed, Leslie made sure that it happened. Our outdoor Fall wedding was truly spectacular. We couldn't have asked for a better day. The venue, flowers, and food were perfect. A HUGE thank you to Leslie, Jason, and Felicia for making our day one we will never forget. You deserve 10 stars, but 5 is all I am allowed.

Originally our wedding was suppose to be in Miami, Fl but the headache and stress of planning an out-of-state wedding was more than I could handle. By the time we chose to not only change location but date as well. We were 3 months out. The stress was getting to me, until I was driving around McDonough during lunch and came across the Hazlehurst. From the moment, I stepped in and met with Leslie, I knew this was the place. We did not look any further. We met with Leslie 3x and during those meetings all the important elements were taken care off. From the flowers to the cake, everything was perfect. Even accommodating the time was no hassle. We loved the placed so much that we even had the rehearsal lunch on property. We are thinking of having our baby shower here as well!!! I really had no worries or stress on my wedding day. Everything went without a hitch. The staff was amazing; the food incredible; and the location magical!!!

I have been planning my wedding for the past year and a half. Most brides are pretty stressed out planning their wedding, but not me. The staff at the Hazlehurst House made planning my wedding virtually stress free. I met with Leslie, the wedding coordinator, 3 times to plan and and organize exactly what I wanted. Everything is done there. Flowers, Food, Cake, Invitations, Music. You name it and they can get it done for you. They simply remove the headache of planning your wedding so you can just enjoy your day & enjoy my day I did. Everything was perfect.(Thanks Lauren) When we arrived the day of the wedding, we had snacks (which were delicious) and champagne waiting for us. The photog. came in (who was super fun) and took a ton of photos which turned out better than I could have imagined. My flowers were exactly as I pictured. The cake was exquisite. I danced the night away while the DJ kept the music going at my dream wedding.No stress,perfect wedding!

The Hazlehurst House exceeded my expectations. The decorations and setup was absolutely gorgeous. The food and cake was excellent. I can't say enough about the staff at the Hazlehurst House. They went above and beyond to ensure that the wedding party and guest were taken care of. Anything requests given to the staff was handled with a smile. Not only was the staff their great to work with but the photographer Scott Evans was absolutely amazing. His pictures were awesome and he was a pleasure to work with. The DJ was also great. He took all my requests and ensured all were fullfilled. I would highly recomend the Hazlehurst House to any bride looking for an event facililty. The antique house made for a perfect location. The wedding coordinator worked with you on every detail and made sure your big day was stress free. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

The staff onsite at the Hazlehurst House gave us nothing less than our dream wedding! Flowers were breathtaking. Cakes were customized and exactly how we asked them to be designed. Food was delicious. Photography was excellent. We truly had a perfect wedding day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. The Hazlehurst House as a backdrop to our outdoor Gazeebo Wedding was beyond words. I was blown away by the beauty of it all as I entered in on a Horse drawn carriage.

Leslie Bishop, the planner of the whole event, was a God-send. This woman will work with you, flex around your schedule, adjust hers to meet your needs! She is the biggest blessing through all the planning. We couldn't have done it without her!

Not enough good things can be said about this location, the people, and the vendors. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it. We will be spending our honeymoon in the area shortly :)
