Congrats Crystal! Yes it's very possible. I have found the Country and Golf Clubs are very reasonable. That may be because brides have been choosing other venues. Also, some of the hotel chains have been giving great quotes. I would advise paying for a tasting before signing a contract. Trust me, the 50 bucks you spend for a tasting is better than booking a venue and the food sucks! Best of luck!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!! To answer your question, yes, you can have a wedding and reception for under a 100 guests within your budget. There are many options available and if you are willing to be flexible with your decisions, then you can certainly stay within your budget. Perhaps having an early in the day ceremony followed by a limited reception could be one option for you to consider. If you have your wedding around a "meal" time, then your guests will expect to be provided with a meal - if however, you choose a time that would not necessarily be centered around a meal time, then you can offer your guests limited food options which will keep your costs down. Also - one thing that many brides don't even consider is having their wedding on a day other than a Saturday. Many venues and vendors offer special rates for weekday events, including some Friday evenings as well as Sunday's. This is another excellent way to save money while still having a beautiful wedding.
One thing that I find many of my brides not considering is the size of their wedding party. The larger the party, the bigger the budget needed - since just considering your personal flowers, you are significantly increasing your costs by having a large number in your wedding party.
When considering your budget, many brides make the mistake of thinking that deciding against having a wedding consultant is a wise decision - when in reality, choosing a reputable consultant can actually save you money by leading you to the appropriate vendors that will work within your budget while creating the wedding day that you desire. But a warning is needed here: not all wedding consultants are created equal. As one of Atlanta's premier consultants, I would like to offer you a complimentary consultation to discuss your dreams for your wedding. This would be my gift to you! Please feel free to email me and mention AtlantaBridal.com to take advantage of this offer.
Best of luck to you and again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
